Special camps in Chengalpattu to link Aadhaar, voter ID

Party members and resident welfare associations should raise awareness about the same in their neighbourhood, he added.

CHENGALPATTU: Collector Rahul Nath on Wednesday announced that special camps would be conducted on Sunday in the district to link Aadhaar details with the Electoral Photo Identity Cards.

Based on Election Commission’s recent order requesting the public to voluntarily link their Aadhaar and voter ID cards, camps would be held from September 18 at various locations in Chengalpattu.

Public can also link their documents online through dedicated government portals. According to a press release by Collector Rahul Nath, “Special camps will be held from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm on Sunday in all 2,795 polling booths located in seven constituencies in the district.”

Party members and resident welfare associations should raise awareness about the same in their neighbourhood, he added.
