Southern Railway announces special train to ease travel for Pournami Girivalam on Jan 3

The service will have eight MEMU coaches and is fully unreserved

CHENNAI: With thousands of devotees expected to travel to Tiruvannamalai for the Pournami Girivalam, the Southern Railway has announced a special unreserved MEMU service to operate between Villupuram and Tiruvannamalai on January 3 (Saturday).

The train will leave Villupuram at 10.10 am and reach Tiruvannamalai at 11.45 am. The return service will depart Tiruvannamalai at 12.40 pm and reach Villupuram at 2.15 pm the same day.

The train will halt at several intermediate stations including Venkatesapuram, Mambalapattu, Tirukoilur and Tandarai. The service will have eight MEMU coaches and is fully unreserved.
