According to Secretariat sources, Santhosh Babu is said to have reconsidered his resignation after his colleagues requested him to continue in service. Similarly, MS Shanmugam, MD of Tamil Nadu Fibernet Corporation (TANFINET) was posted as Commissioner of Museums.
There were speculations that both Santhosh Babu and Shanmugam had allegedly refused to tweak a tender in TANFINET in favour of a private company and hence the tranfers.
Apoorva, Commissioner of Archives and Historical Research, has been and posted as Secretary of Higher Education replacing Mangat Ram Sharma who has been appointed as Commissioner of Archives and Historical Research.
