Sources said that the residents were supplied water from a nearby tank. However, the supply was stopped a fortnight ago following leaks in supply pipes. Though officials, initially, promised to resume the supply, the assurance was not kept. Annoyed by this, nearly 100 residents blocked the road with empty pots seeking resumption of water supply. Following this, officials assured to resolve the issue immediately after which the protesters left the spot.
