Health Minister C Vijaya Baskar said that the state has placed orders for procurement of 60,000 more vials of anti-viral drug Remdesivir as it has shown desired results in treating critical patients with COVID-19.

“Adequate availability of these life savings drugs will ensure patients get better treatment,” he told reporters on Tuesday after a visit to CMCH. Vijaya Baskar and Municipal Administration Minister SP Velumani inspected the cancer care centre equipped with state of the art facility set up at a cost of Rs 25 crore.
