“Actor Rajinikanth will start his political party in 2020,” Sathyanarayana told media, after performing a temple ritual in Dharmapuri district on Sunday.

Expressing his confidence that Rajini would deliver a good government, Rao said once Rajini comes to power, he would strive for the welfare of the people. “If anything happens, then he will visit the place and help people earnestly. People of Tamil Nadu are confident that the actor will do good to all once he enters politics,” he said.

On the issue of leadership vacuum in Tamil Nadu, Rao said, “This opinion of Rajini has now become a debating point in the state. Only the people should say if there exists any political vacuum.”  

After offering prayers at the temple in Athiyamankottai in Dharmapuri district, Rao also served ‘annadanam’ to devotees gathered at the temple. He said that he offered prayers for the welfare of the people across the world.
