Private bus rams two-wheeler killing Class 5 boy, injuring mother

Karur police retrieved the boy’s body and sent it to the Karur Medical College hospital.

TIRUCHY: M Ilavizhiyan (10), a Class 5 boy, was run over by a private firm bus in Karur on Monday.

The boy was a student at a private school at Andankovil. Around 9 am on Monday, Ramya was on her way to her son’s school on a two-wheeler to drop him off.

While they were waiting to cross the Karur Polytechnic Road at Karur-Erode highway, a bus carrying employees of a private firm, rammed into the two-wheeler at full speed, trapping it beneath.

The boy was run over and died on the spot. Ramya was severely injured.

The public rushed to the spot and sent her to a private hospital.

Karur police retrieved the boy’s body and sent it to the Karur Medical College hospital.

A case has been registered and search is on for the driver.
