PM writes to Bangaru Adigalar family; politicos condole

CHENNAI: Following the demise of Bangaru Adigalar, the founder and spiritual leader of Adhiparasakthi Siddhar Peedam, politicians from various parties paid visit to his residence in Melmaruvathur to offer condolences to the bereaved family.

“In a time when women were often excluded from participating in religious activities during menstruation period, Adikalar championed their right to perform pooja at any time inside the temple sanctuary,” emphasised VCK leader Thirumavalavan. The passing of Adigalar represents a significant loss for all advocates of social justice. Thirumavalavan stated, “We regard Adigalar as a prominent warrior for social justice.”

BJP leader K Annamalai met callled on wife of Bangaru Adigalar and presented a condolence letter on behalf of the Prime Minister. Narendra Modi, recognising Bangaru Adikalar’s dedicated service, had conferred upon him Padma Shri award. Modi also expressed condolences through a letter, which was delivered to grieving family.

Naam Tamilar Party leader Seeman also conveyed his condolences at the memorial of Bangaru Adigalar.
