“R Lalitha, IAS, returning from maternity leave is posted as Special Officer for formation of Mayiladuthurai district,” said Chief Secretary K Shanmugam in one of the government orders.
Similarly, another government order, issued by Home Secretary SK Prabakar stated, “N Sreenatha, Superintendent of Police, Kanniyakumari district posted as Superintendent of Police CB-CID-II, Chennai, had been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police for Mayiladuthurai distrcit.”
In the previous cases, the special officers appointed for formation of new districts were appointed as district collectors after the formation of new district.
