Actor-turned politician Khushbu Sundar has joined the BJP party, after quitting Congress. She was removed from the AICC Spokesperson position by Congress Secretary In-charge of Communications Pranav Jha.

Khushbu has now opened up about her reason for joining BJP. She has stated that it took time for her to understand what is better for the nation. She said she had supported BJP in numerous occasions even while being a member of Congress.

"Prime Minister Narendra Modi is taking the country in right direction. I will strive hard to make BJP win in the upcoming Tamil Nadu assembly elections", said Khushbu.  

She further added, "I joined BJP after realizing that the country needs an efficient leader like Modi for betterment. Crores and crores of people have affirmed their confidence in BJP."
