Masinagudi Jeep safari: Organised every early morning and late evening, this jeep safari will take you through amazing forests and lush green thickets that provide refuge for many species of animals. You can spot an elephant herd freely roaming in their natural premises.
Mudumalai National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary: It is home to many endangered wildlife species, and has been declared a tiger reserve. There are 48 tigers in the Nilgiri Reserve across which tigers are free to roam.
Maravakandy Dam: Built in 1951, the dam is surrounded by lush greenery, and is the primary water resource to Moyar hydro-electric powerhouse. There is an animal watching tower here from where you can witness some breathtaking views and can get your lens on some amazing bird species and animals.
Moyar River: Located at a distance of 7 km from Masinagudi, this river separates Bandipur and Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary. Since this river is also a major water source for many animals, you can spot animals like tiger, elephant, etc.
Theppakadu Elephant Camp: Located close to Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary, the elephant camp is home to a huge number of elephants. It was declared an elephant camp in 1972, and since then, it has been attracting tourists.
