CHENNAI: State government on Saturday appointed S Davidson Devasirvatham as the Director General of Police (DGP), Vigilance and Anti-Corruption following the retirement of Abhay Kumar Singh. He’ll continue to hold additional charge of the post of DGP, Armed Police.
Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) HM Jayaram, whose suspension was recently revoked and was on compulsory wait, has been appointed as Director, Civil Defence and Additional Commandant General, Home Guards.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) K Bhavaneeswari, who was serving as Additional Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Avadi City, has been transferred and posted as IGP, Headquarters. AG Babu serving as IGP (Railways) in Chennai is posted as IGP, Modernisation.
V Sasi Mohan serving as Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Coimbatore range has been transferred and posted as DIG, Dindigul range replacing Dr P Saminathan who will take over as DIG, Coimbatore range.
N Manivannan serving as Commissioner of Police, Tirunelveli City has been posted as DIG, Ramanathapuram range replacing Deshmukh Shekhar Sanjay, who will be the new Commissioner of Police, Tirunelveli.
A Jayalakshmi serving as Joint Commissioner of Police, Tambaram City, has been posted as DIG, Technical services replacing R Jayanthi who will be the new Joint Commissioner of Police, Tambaram City.
MR Sibi Chakravarthi serving as Chief Vigilance Officer, TN Newsprint and Papers has been posted as DIG, Tiruchy range. Superintendent of Police (SP) Adarsh Pachera serving at the Cyber Crimes division at the state cyber crime headquarters has been transferred and posted as SP, Railways, Tiruchy replacing P Rajan. Rajan has been posted as SP, Railways, Chennai.
C Shyamala Devi, serving as Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters), Tiruchy, has been appointed as SP, Central Intelligence Unit, Prohibition Enforcement Wing, Tiruchy City. Ayman Jamal serving as SP, Ranipet district has been posted as SP Chengalpattu replacing P Sibin who has been posted as SP, Ranipet.
