Madras HC to hear cases only through video conferencing

To prevent spread of coronavirus, the Madras High Court will hold all its judicial proceedings through video link, according to a circular issued on Sunday.

"In view of the prevailing conditions of Covid-19 and in order to completely secure the premises of the High Court for preventing the spread of any infection or otherwise, all judicial proceedings in the High Court will be conducted only through video-conferencing," read the circular issued by the Registrar General The court-halls will not be accessible for any judicial function during the lockdown to keep the court-halls sanitized and hygienically fit for any future use.
