CHENNAI: Congress MP Karti Chidambaram said the TVK should not admit AIADMK MLAs who resign their posts to join the party or allow them to contest elections again, calling such a move an injustice to voters in their constituencies.

“This is an injustice,” he told reporters in Nellai. Karti said delimiting Lok Sabha constituencies based on population would disadvantage Tamil Nadu and other southern states.

Asked about supporters projecting Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay as a future prime minister, Karti said the leader of a political formation securing the backing of 272 MPs would become prime minister.
