CHENNAI: Several EMU train services in the Central-Gudur section will be cancelled or partially cancelled on December 28, due to engineering works between Minjur and Attipattu, Southern Railway said.

A line and power block will be in place between 10 am and 12.30 pm, affecting suburban EMUs during the period.

As a result, 5 EMU services will be fully cancelled, including locals leaving Moore Market Complex (MMC) at 9 am, Beach station at 9.40 am, and services departing Gummidipoondi at 9.55 am, 10.55 am and 11.25 am.

Three services will be partially cancelled. Sullurupeta-MMC trains leaving at 10 am will run only up to Ponneri, while services leaving MMC at 10.30 am and 11.35 am towards Gummidipundi will be curtailed at Ennore.

To minimise inconvenience, two passenger special services will operate between Ennore and MMC, departing Ennore at 10.36 am and 12.08 pm.
