Officers in the government departments here `should  not accept or expect Diwali gifts from their juniors`, said the Lt Governor Kiran Bedi in her twitter handle today.

"The juniors cannot afford the gifts and hence accepting or expecting the gifts by senior officers from their juniors would amount to exploitation and harassment".

She stressed that the officers should not therefore accept or expect the gifts for the Diwali.
