After the health condition of M Karunanidhi became stable, political personalities have paid visit to the ailing DMK leader.

Kerala Chief Minister and CPM leader Pinarayi Vijayan arrived at Kauvery Hospital, where DMK chief M Karunanidhi has been hospitalised for the fifth day.

Speaking to the media, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said "MK Stalin and Kanimozhi told me his health condition is fast improving. We all know 'Kalaignar' is a fighter by birth itself. In his life he fought in several fields. I wish for his speedy recovery..."

Earlier on July 28th, the Kerala CM had tweeted "Kalaignar M Karunanidhi is a born fighter. I am sure he will fight back and return fast to good health."

The hospital on Tuesday revealed the severity of deterioration in Karunanidhi’s health condition by stating that he would require extended period of hospitalisation due to “overall decline” in his general health.

The hospital has disclosed that liver function and haematological parameters of the DMK chief have altered. The latest bulletin reiterated that he continues to maintain his vital signs with active medical support.
