Discussions on artificial rainfall in TN is underway: Minister Velumani

The Minister also informed that works for upcoming local body elections are in process.

In a press meet in Thoothukudi, Municipal Administration Minister Velumani said that talks and research on artificial rain is ongoing in Tamil Nadu.

He added, “The plan of bringing water from Jolarpet to Chennai is progressing. This drinking water project will be completed in the next 3 weeks. Although, artificial rainfall is a failure in some states, research on artificial rainfall is still going in Tamil Nadu. The reason for drinking water crisis is inadequate rainfall in all districts.”

The Minister also informed that works for upcoming local body elections are in process.
