Diffabled resort to road roko to highlight malpractice in issuing certificates

TIRUPATTUR: Citing various issues, including being denigrated by officials and doctors nearly 80 differently abled persons staged a road roko in front of the Collectorate here on Tuesday. The weekly grievances day meet for diffabled is on Tuesdays, but those affected alleged that not only were they not even given chairs to sit on or even water to drink. Those not eligible were given diffabled certificate by officials and doctors for bribes. In Vellore too, though it was announced that the weekly diffabled grievances day would be undertaken in taluk HQs, many diffabled continued to visit the Vellore Collectorate with no one to direct them.
