Counselling for MBBS and BDS begins in Tamil Nadu

As many as 6,067 MBBS seats and 1,380 BDS admission in government medical colleges and self-financed medical colleges are allocated under the government quota.

CHENNAI: Health Minister Ma Subramanian inaugurated MBBS and BDS counselling for special category 2022-2023 at Government Omandurar hospital on Wednesday.

Applications for medical course in government medical college hospitals, self finance colleges and administrative medical seats will be open online from September 22 to October 6.

Rank list is prepared validating the 7.5 per cent reservation quota for government school students. Under the reservation, 2,695 applications have been received.

Sports quota and ex-servicemen category quota were also reviewed by the concerned department.

As many as 6,067 MBBS seats and 1,380 BDS admission in government medical colleges and self-financed medical colleges are allocated under the government quota.

In today's allotment for special category, 46 students in the disabled category, 11 in military personnel and 8 in sports quota were reviewed for the rank list. The order for the same will be issued to the students, the minister said.
