9 AIADMK MLAs take oath in Speaker’s chamber at TN Assembly

The nine AIADMK MLAs who won the recent by-elections to the Tamilnadu Assembly were sworn in today at the Secretariat in the prescence of TN chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and Deputy CM O Panneerselvam.

By-elections were held for 18 Assembly seats along with the general elections this year and four seats on 19 May in the last phase of the 7-phase elections.

Of the 22 seats, the DMK managed to grab 13 seats and swell its kitty of MLAs in the Assembly to 124.

The AIADMK was able to win the rest of the nine seats. These newly-elected members were sworn in today in the chamber of the Speaker in the prescence of TN chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and Deputy CM O Panneerselvam.
