Pandi of Melakottai, Thirumangalam, Madurai. Investigations revealed that the accused kidnapped the victim, aged four, when she was lonely at her grandmother’s house at Moonjikkal and sexually abused her. The incident occurred on Monday afternoon. When the relatives found the girl missing from the house, they conducted searches and later reported with Kodaikanal All Women Police on the same night. Based on a complaint lodged by Pandiyammal (50), wife of Rajendran, Moonjikkal, Kodaikanal, a case was filed under Sections 363 of the IPC, 9 (m) read with 10 of the Pocso Act. He was later arrested.
