4 Bangladesh nationals held in Erode for illegal stay

During a surprise check by the Perundurai police, along with Q Branch police, at Panikkampalayam on Tuesday, four persons staying in the area were questioned.

ERODE: Four Bangladesh nationals have been arrested in this district for their illegal entry into India, police said.

During a surprise check by the Perundurai police, along with Q Branch police, at Panikkampalayam on Tuesday, four persons staying in the area were questioned.

They told police they work at a private textile firm near Perundurai and were employed through brokers. They also confessed that they are from Bangladesh and that they somehow ended up in the Perundurai area.

The Police found no passport or visa with them. The police arrested them and sent them to Salem Central Prison. Further investigation is ongoing.
