Cops Murugaiyan and Gopal Kumar were suspended for negligence that resulted in the POCSO offender Raja's escape, ordered police supervisor Balaji Saravanan.

The police are in hot pursuit of the fugitive in the forest where he is believed to have lost the cops. In addition, six special squads and three drone cameras are deployed to sieve the forest.

Balaji Saravanan was hopeful of finding out the whereabouts of Raja.

Raja was arrested under POCSO for sexually molesting and murdering a 7 year old in Pudukottai district's Yembal.
