Mithali, Shikha sizzle for India

Shikha Pandey and Ekta Bisht shared seven wickets between them as the duo blew South Africa away and helped India register a 49-run win in the Women’s World Cup Qualifier Super Six game here on Wednesday.

Earlier, Mona Meshram (55) and Mithali Raj (64) laid the platform for India’s total with a 96-run stand for the second wicket and propelled them to 205/8 in 50 overs. Reduced to 8/2, SA found the going tough and eventually folded for 156.
