Local League: St. Bede’s clinches B Somasundaram Trophy

Unbeaten centuries from S Mohamed Ali 106 not out (166b, 7x4) and Badrinath Annadurai 114 not out (129b, 9x4) propelled St. Bede’s AIHSS ‘A’ to an emphatic 122-run win over Don Bosco MHSS in the final of the TNCA-City Schools tournament for B Somasundaram U-14 trophy here on Wednesday.

Krishnagiri calls the shots 

CHENNAI: Krishnagiri dictated terms to Kancheepuram on day two of its TNCA inter-districts U-19 tournament by setting a huge target of 371 with only a day’s play remaining. At stumps, Kancheepuram reached 126 losing three wickets. Vignesh S Iyer is batting on an unbeaten 75.

CHENNAI: In another match, Thiruvallur’s R Rohith Ram (5/51) and M Mathivanan (4/22) wreaked havoc on Coimbatore dismissing it for 90. At the end of first day’s play, Thiruvallur took a handy lead of 65 runs with seven wickets in hand.
