CHENNAI: Sixteen-year-old left-arm medium pacer KV Akhilesh Sabari recorded a rare feat of taking all 10 wickets to help his side Ebenezer Marcus Intl (Pudur) beat Shree Niketan Patasala (Tiruvallur) by 109 runs in the CSK-Thiruvallur DCA inter-school tournament.
Akhilesh finished with impressive figures of 6-3-17-10. Earlier, Akhilesh also chipped in with the bat scoring 33 as Ebenezer posted 159. In reply, Shree Niketan was bowled out for 50.
Brief scores: Group A: The Nazareth Academy 45 in 12 overs (R Ratan Singh 5/11) lost to DAV SSS Mogappair 46 for no loss in 5.2 overs.
Group B: Ebenezer Marcus Intl (Pudur) 159 in 29.1 overs (KV Akhilesh Sabari 33, N Yashwanth 35, S Jishnu 4/13) bt Shree Niketan Patasala (Tiruvallur) 50 in 14 overs (KV Akhilesh Sabari 10/17).
