CHENNAI: Chief Minister and DMK president M K Stalin on Wednesday welcomed the decision of the Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) to contest its allotted all four constituencies under the DMK’s ‘Rising Sun’ symbol.

In a post on the social media platform X, Stalin appreciated the move taken by MDMK general secretary Vaiko, describing it as a gesture made with magnanimity.

The MDMK is set to contest four constituencies, including Sirkazhi (SC), as part of the DMK-led Secular Progressive Alliance.

Stalin expressed confidence that the alliance would secure a decisive victory in the upcoming Assembly election and called upon all partners to work together.

“Let us win together,” he said, reiterating the spirit of unity within the alliance
