Pakistan fishing boat seized by BSF in Kutch

The Border Security Force (BSF) has seized a Pakistani fishing boat abandoned in the Indian territory at Nal Creek area of Kutch district near the Indo-Pak border, officials said today.

Around five fishermen on that boat managed to escape by swimming towards the Pakistani side after spotting BSF patrol boats last evening in the creek area, said officials.

BSF swung into action and sent patrol boats after they learned about some movement in Nal Creek area last evening. Upon seeing the BSF speed boats, around five fishermen abandoned the boat and swam towards the Pakistani side of the creek area, said officials.

During the initial search of the abandoned boat, BSF found fish, crabs and fishing equipment’s, they added.

This is second such seizure of a Pakistani boat in the creek area this week. On February 20, a similar fishing boat was seized from the creek area by the BSF.
