National level student-wise database soon

A national level student-wise database is being created to help track all students throughout the school-cycle

The Unified District Information System for Education (U-DISE), managed by the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), is the major source of data on all the parameters of education covering school, teacher and student.

As an integral part of the U-DISE, the department of School Education & Literacy had initiated Student Database Management Information System (SDMIS) in 2016-17 to collect child-wise data with the Aadhaar ID.

In a written reply in the Lok Sabha on Monday, Minister of State for Human Resource Development Upendra Kushwaha, said every student has been provided a Unique Student ID generated through the system which would lead to the creation of a national-level student-wise database giving complete details of all students in all government, aided and private schools from Class 1 to Class 12.

This would also help track all the students throughout the school-cycle.
