The actor had been ill for a few days and was admitted to a private hospital in Kochi earlier this week. 

On Sunday afternoon, it was reported that his condition was serious and that he was on life support. 

The actor was undergoing treatment for liver related diseases. The hospital confirmed Kalabhavan Mani’s passing late on Sunday.
