CHENNAI: The Victoria Public Hall has reopened to the public after a brief closure, with the Greater Chennai Corporation rolling out a ticketed entry system and a new audio-visual guided experience.

The hall had been closed shortly after its initial reopening, which officials described as a "dry run" to assess crowd flow and visitor experience.

Children below 10 years and persons with disabilities can enter free of cost

Visitors can choose from multiple time slots between 8.30 am and 6.30 pm, with each slot capped at 60 visitors. Entry charges have been fixed at Rs 25 for adults, Rs 10 for students and senior citizens, and Rs 50 for foreign visitors.

Bookings are available online, and the hall will remain closed on Tuesdays for maintenance.

The visit now includes a theatre-style audio-visual presentation, with scheduled shows in Tamil and English, which visitors must select while booking. In addition, visitors can access museum galleries on the ground floor, heritage exhibitions documenting the hall's history, interactive digital displays, and curated installations on Chennai's cultural, sporting and artistic past.
