He added that the HRD Minister acts as per the instructions of RSS.  In July 2014, a circular from the HRD Ministry stated that schools must celebrate Sanskrit week. Later Dr Radhakrishnan’s birthday which was celebrated as Teachers Day was later re-branded to Guru Utsav.

Last December, Smriti Irani replaced German with Sanskrit as third language to be taught in CBSE and ICSE schools across India, explained Vaiko.  He also claimed that Central ministers proudly announced in Parliament that they are all guided by RSS ideology.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi did nothing to condemn the act. Modi government should be aware that equal opportunity should be provided to all ethnic groups of India, and only then will a democracy survive, he cautioned.
