The incident happened on Wednesday morning and the suspects — Ilango (26) and Dhanudevi (23) of Nellima Nagar in Mangadu — reportedly called Mukesh and Nelson Miranda, the artistes based in Tiruvottiyur, over the phone to tattoo their names on their hands.

However, the couple was allegedly not happy with the work and got into an argument with them. In the melee, the couple stabbed one of them in the thigh and attacked the other in the head.

The victims escaped from them and got admitted to a hospital. On information, the Mangadu police conducted inquiries with them and registered a case. A hunt has been launched for the suspects.
