Traffic diversion on OMR for 5 Sundays from Aug 28

All the incoming heavy and commercial vehicles from Kannagi Nagar Junction intending towards SRP Tools will be diverted at Thoraipakkam signal to take free left turn towards 200 feet radial road – Kamatchi Hospital - Velachery Main Road -Tharamani and will reach SRP Tools Junction.

CHENNAI: In view of conducting Happy Streets on OMR, the Chennai traffic police has decided to close the stretch between Thoraipakkam signal junction up to Corporation road signal on five Sundays from August 28. Traffic will be closed from early morning 2 am to forenoon 10 am, said a note from the traffic police.

All the incoming heavy and commercial vehicles from Kannagi Nagar Junction intending towards SRP Tools will be diverted at Thoraipakkam signal to take free left turn towards 200 feet radial road – Kamatchi Hospital - Velachery Main Road -Tharamani and will reach SRP Tools Junction.

All the incoming light motor vehicles, car, auto, motorcycles, including emergency vehicles, Ambulance, MTC and other buses from Kannagi Nagar junction will take left turn at Thoraipakkam Junction into 200 feet radial road take right turn at Pillaiyar koil street – Panchayat main road –corporation road signal and will reach SRP tools junction. All the Commercial and Heavy Vehicles plying towards Thoraipakkam Junction in outgoing direction will be diverted at SRP tools Junction take right towards Taramani –Velachery Main Road – Kamatchi Hospital– 200 Feet Radial Road and will reach Thoraipakkam signal junction.

All the outgoing light motor vehicles, car, auto, motorcycles, including emergency vehicles, Ambulance, MTC and other buses will take right at Corporation road signal junction towards Corporation road – Panchayat Main Road – 200 feet radial road and to reach Thoraipakkam signal junction.
