The accused is a resident of Red Hills and was nabbed early on Tuesday. Seenivasan has assault and robbery cases pending against him and he smuggled ganja from Andhra Pradesh. He was booked under several IPC sections in connection with two cases and remanded in judicial custody. 

Meanwhile, the Egmore police secured K Dileep Kumar (24), a resident of Pallavan Salai near Albert Theatre, on Tuesday night. During interrogation, Dileep revealed that he supplied ganja at the doorstep if people placed orders over the phone. His house was raided and 1.3 kg ganja was seized. The police said that Dileep bought the ganja from one Amulu for Rs 60 per sachet and sold it for Rs 150. A hunt has been launched for Amulu. 

In a similar incident, the Kanathur police arrested V Sounderarajan (20), a resident of Vettuvankani, who was found to possess 100 g of ganja and remanded him in custody.
