The National Population Register updation to continue till February 5

The National Population Register (NPR) exercise for the state of Tamil Nadu began on Monday. The process of updating will continue till February 5, an official release here said.

A government official designated for this purpose would visit every household and  enumerator would carry the printed NPR booklet, which would have the details of Name, Gender, Date of Birth, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Place of Birth, Present Address etc. In addition, if already the person has the Aadhaar number, the same would also be printed. 

The NPR Booklet will have all the above details for each usual resident of all the  households already included in NPR. All residents were requested to verify their details printed in the NPR booklet available with the enumerator and to provide correct information for updating them.  

They were also requested to provide their Mobile Number and Family Ration Card Number.
