Polling percentage: 81.22% 

Winner: J Jayalalithaa (AIADMK)

Runner-up: N Anand (DMK) 

Margin: 41,848 votes

CM Jayalalithaa polled 58.99% votes here. Srirangam has been a traditional stronghold of AIADMK since 1977.

Votes polled: 2,19,254

Polling percentage: 81.09% 

Winner: S Valarmathi (AIADMK)

Runner-up: N Anand (DMK)

Runner-up: Anbil Periyasamy (DMK)

Margin: 20,626 votes

Winning parties: AIADMK (2011), DMK (2006), DMK (2001), DMK (1996), ADK (1991), DMK (1989), DMK (1984), ADK (1980 and 1977).

142. Thiruverumbur

Total No of voters: 2,09,398 

Votes polled: 1,50,543

Polling percentage: 71.97% 

Winner: S Senthilkumar (DMDK)

Runner-up: KN Seharan (DMK) 

Margin: 4,205 votes

Sekaran of DMK have won the constituency twice in 2001, 2006. Winning parties: DMK (2006), DMK (2001), DMK (1996), ADK (1991), CPM (1989) and ADK (1984).

143. Lalgudi 

Total No of voters: 1,75,172 

Votes polled: 1,46,201

Polling percentage: 83.47% 

Winner: Soundarapandian A (DMK)

Runner-up: Sendhureswaran AD (DMDK)

Margin: 7,155 votes

Anbil Dharmalingam and KN Nehru of DMK won in the constituency twice. Winning parties: DMK (2011, 2006), ADMK (2001), DMK (1996), INC (1991), DMK (1989) and INC (1984).

144. Manachanallur

Total No of voters: 1,86,109 

Votes polled: 1,56,437

Polling percentage: 84.06% 

Winner: Poonachi TP (AIADMK)

Runner-up: Selvaraj N (DMK)

Margin: 19,190 votes

Created after the delimitation, parts of Manachanallur taluk, Musiri taluk, Peramangalam, Kattukulam, Kodunthurai, Thuraiyur Pudupatti form the constituency.

145. Musiri

Total No of voters: 1,84,922 

Votes polled: 1,50,808

Polling percentage: 81.55% 

Winner: NR Sivapathy (AIADMK)

Runner-up: M Rajasekharan (INC) 

Margin: 43,791 votes

Residents of Thottiyam were unhappy over the move to abolish the constituency and bring the taluk under the Musiri segment.

146. Thuraiyur (SC) 

Total No of voters: 1,80,988 

Votes polled: 1,48,452

Polling percentage: 82.02% 

Winner: Indraganthi T (AIADMK)

Runner-up: Parimala Devi S (DMK)

Margin: 10,935 votes

Thuraiyur constituency replaced Uppilliyapuram (ST) segment after the delimination process.
