The hearing of the case came before Divisional Bench where the State Government’s Joint Secretary (Public) and SP of Q-Branch appeared in person. The officials claimed the refugee Dhayapa Rajh is a listed criminal of Interpol and is wanted in a financial misappropriation case. 

Unconvinced by the argument, judges asked the officials whether there were any other cases pending against him. 

As officials said this wasn’t the case, judges ordered that the refugee be shifted to his house at Mandapam camp and 24-hour security should be provided to him.
