Ratan Tata visits SRM, interacts with students

Chairman Emeritus of Tata Sons, Ratan Tata was at the SRM University on Monday for a meeting with the faculty and addressed the students

Emeritus said that if India should shine then people need to have the freedom to decide. “Be honest in what you think and do and that goes for any profession,” he added. Earlier Tata had a meeting with the SRM university founder-chancellor, Dr. Paari Vendhar and discussed the challenges and opportunities in Indian higher education. Referring to students travelling abroad for higher education, Tata observed that this could have been minimised if educational institutions provided adequate facilities and faculty in India.
