Pulianthope police adopt Corpn school

The Pulianthope police station has adopted a Greater Chennai Corporation-run middle school in Pattalam, providing chairs, tables, fans and water purifiers, and also play materials for the students. They have also sponsored the cost of giving the school a fresh coat of paint and fencing around the property.

Enlisting the support of local residents and traders from the neighbourhood, police personnel at the station raised fund for carom board, chessboard, volleyball, cricket bat and cycle. In addition, footwear and geometry boxes were given to 200 students.


For the school, an RO water purifier system and six ceiling fans were given, besides 50 tables and chairs to be used in classrooms.


Additional Commissioner (North) R Dhinakaran handed over materials to the headmaster of the school at a function held on Wednesday. Joint Commissioner B Vijayakumari and Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Kannan were also present during the function.
