According to sources, building plan approval was given to the hospital management in 2016 to construct stilt-plus-four-floor building. “However, the management constructed stilt-plus-six-floor building by violating the planning approval. Also, there are some deviations on the ground floor and other floors of the hospital,” an official source said.

The source added that the CMDA officials did not seal the whole building but instead sealed only the floors that were built violating the rules and deviated portions. This was due to several patients admitted in the hospital, the official explained. It is also learnt that the planning authority had already issued a lock and seal notice to the hospital management, against which the management approached the High Court.
