Pharmacy owner held for harassment

A 42-year-old pharmacy owner was arrested on Saturday for sexually harassing a 19-year-old woman employee in Thoraipakkam.

The incident happened on Friday night at around 11 pm when Mohammed Ali locked his clinic from inside, on Pillayar Koil Street in Zam Bazaar and asked the girl to massage his legs and hands.

However, the girl alerted her friends through SMS after which they came as a group, broke open the door and rescued her. He was beaten up and handed over to the police, who arrested and booked him under Section 4 of Harassment of Women Act.
