A woman police personnel on Sunday informed her immediate senior that unidentified persons escaped with the permanent advance, which is given to all police stations to spend on emergency requirements and reimburse later, and messed with the station properties when she was not present at the station.

The officer inspected the station situated on the first floor of Anna Salai police station and senior officials were informed of the incident. The CCTV camera footages on the station premises were combed and since there was no suspicious movement of people, senior officials have decided to question two women police personnel who were on duty when the alleged theft occurred.
