Sabhik Ahmed of Periyamet had parked his bike near his friend’s shop on Wednesday but found it missing after some time. He checked the CCTV footage and found that the bike was stolen by a man who supplied meat to his friend’s shop.

The man who was later identified as M Jeyanthan, 32 of Peranampet. He managed to put the bike on the Tata Ace, which he used to transport meat. Sabhik collected the phone number of Jeyanthan from his friend.

He then called him and told him that he would lodge a police complaint if he doesn’t bring the vehicle back. The accused agreed to bring the vehicle when Sabhik informed the Periamet police.
