No arrest yet in techie case even as court deadline ends today

The Madras High Court had set the deadline on Monday, after taking strong exception to the lack of coordination between the Railway Police and the City Police over the probe and that there had been no headway in the case.

The 24-year-old Infosys employee was murdered on Friday last at the Nungambakkam Railway Station. The division bench had observed that they would initiate suo motu proceedings on Thursday, if it sensed slackness on the part of the investigating police team. Meanwhile, police sources say that the investigation is progressing steadily and they hope to nab the culprit soon.
