The Adyar All-Women Police on Monday said they have nabbed the accused after the girl’s father lodged a complaint about the incident that happened on Friday last at the residence of the victim, a property located off East Coast Road. The accused has been booked under Pocso Act.
Police said the girl was studying at a private school.
Quoting the family members, police said the molester had been visiting the house of the victim to give her training in relaxation techniques.
While imparting training, the accused tried to sexually assault the girl. After the victim raised an alarm, the accused managed to escape but not before the girl’s father reached the scene.
The girl’s father later lodged a complaint online and based on the complaint, police registered a case. The accused was arrested and remanded in judicial custody.
