Mango gets costlier at Chennai's Koyambedu market on December 29, 2025

CHENNAI: Mango had a sharp rise which is sold at Rs 80 per kg on (December 29) from Rs 40 per kg yesterday (December 28), apart from mango vegetable prices at Chennai’s Koyambedu wholesale market is largely steady on December 29 (Monday).

According to traders drumstick price dropping to Rs 180 per kg from Rs 200 per kg on Sunday. Garlic price declined to Rs 100 per kg from Rs 110 per kg, onions fell to Rs 30 per kg compared to Rs 36 yesterday. Potatoes drops to Rs 25 per kg from Rs 30 per kg and lemon dropped to Rs 25 from Rs 30.

Tomato price drops to Rs 50 per kg, after being sold at Rs 55 on December 28. Beans had a slight fall and priced at Rs 35 per kg.

Green chillies and peas remained unchanged at Rs 35 per kg, while ginger remains the same at Rs 60 per kg. Beetroot remained unchange, which is being sold at Rs 40 per kg.
