Man held for cheating women

The anti-vice squad have arrested a 50-year-old man allegedly involved in pushing women into flesh trade under the guise of getting them chance to act in films.

Police said that the accused, Pandian alias MGR Pandian from Mangadu, who had gone into hiding fearing arrest, was nabbed on June 11 during a search. 

Pandian was earlier arrested in connection with cases of flesh trade and detained under Goondas Act four times, according to police sources. Even after being arrested so many times and detained under the Goondas Act, Pandian failed to reform and was continuing his business from  different venues, police added.
