Man ends life losing money in online rummy

A team from Sembium station sent his body to Government Stanley Hospital for post-mortem.

A 28-year-old who lost a few lakhs playing rummy online committed suicide in Sembium. M Kumaresan of Adhanur in Villupuram district was working as a collection agent for a private bank.

Around 10 pm on Tuesday, his housemates found him hanging in his room and alerted police.

A team from Sembium station sent his body to Government Stanley Hospital for post-mortem.

Probe revealed that Kumaresan was addicted to online rummy games and would stay awake till 3 am to play rummy online.
